Doctors of Optometry James F. Sills and Elizabeth German blended their separate practices in 2008 to establish West Kingston’s first independent eyecare practice location, BAYVIEW OPTOMETRY. Jim (OD, UW ‘82), and, Beth (OD, UW ’97) welcomed Dr. Alyssa Misener (OD, UW'12) and her energy and enthusiasm in the summer of 2012 and in 2018, expansion continued when Dr. Solange Lacroix (OD, UM'17) also joined.
Currently, Jim, Beth , Alyssa and Solange offer full spectrum Optometry service and are happy to see infants, toddlers, kids, teens and young of all ages. They provide comprehensive ocular health, binocular vision and eyesight assessments using classic optometric skills enhanced with continually updated technology. Time is promised for diagnosis discussions. Vision treatment is offered with stylish glasses, contact lenses and laser consultation. Ocular health issues are managed in-clinic or with appropriate referral to ophthalmology or other specialty practitioners. Introductory referrals are not necessary but are always welcomed for diabetic and other high risk patients.
